Popular Nollywood actor turned politician , Kenneth Okonkwo has resigned as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to Supreme Tv, the actor parted ways with the leading opposition party for undisclosed reasons on Saturday, June 4.
In a handwritten resignation letter to the Chairman of Nkpunano ward, Okonkwo cited personal reasons for his resignation.

In 2015, Okonkwo declared his intention to represent the people of Nsukka/Igboeze South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly under the platform of PDP.
He was brought to limelight following the role he played as ‘Andy’ in the movie-goersmovie, Living in Bondage released in 1992. The Nollywood actor is a lawyer and a graduate of Business management from the University of Nigeria Nsukka.
